The Payam Ghasemi Quintet is a jazz-fusion ensemble exploring the meeting point between modern jazz, groove, and Middle Eastern colors. Built around Payam's original compositions, the music moves between subtle modal atmospheres and powerful rhythmic energy, where improvisation and interaction drive the narrative.

The group's sound blends fluid melodies, deep grooves, and spontaneous dialogue — each musician contributing their own voice to create performances that are dynamic, emotional, and constantly evolving. The result is music that feels both grounded and contemporary, marked by a strong collective identity.

The group began performing live in 2023 and has since built a strong concert record, with acclaimed shows across France, a successful 8-concert tour of Turkey, and appearances at ICI Jazz Fest and Couscous Fest, presented by Marseille Jazz des Cinq Continents.

The quintet enters the studio in September 2026 to record a 10-song debut album at Studio Éole, set for release in 2027, while lining up concerts throughout 2026 and 2027 as it continues to expand its presence on the international jazz scene.
